Connection is important. These days it’s easy to get bogged down by work, immersed in our technology, and so focused on your to do list that we are left feeling alone. We believe that Jesus wants us to be connected to Him, and to each other. In order to experience a deep level of connection and community, sometimes we have to be more intentional about reaching out. Our Sunday morning experience is awesome, but what are we doing to take that Sunday feeling to our Monday’s?
Luckily, no matter what stage of life or faith you find yourself, there are tons of ways to connect in at Relevant. You can find events, groups based on location or interest, a place for your student, or even to hang out with the dogs of Relevant. Check out some of the ways you can connect below.
Adventure Groups are the best way for you to dip your toes in to the Relevant community. They are specific interest or hobby groups that meet about once a month. These groups are designed to meet year-round and are a great place to connect with other people. If you want to have fun and meet people with similar interests, then Adventure groups are the place for you! There are a variety of groups from which to choose, and we're adding new groups all the time. Sign up today and get ready to start your adventure!
Connection Groups the place to be if you are ready to start connecting on a heart level. These groups are made up of people who want to meet regularly for community and to explore the spiritual journey. They are medium in size, usually 10-20 people, and they meet in homes, at church, or public spaces like coffee shops and restaurants across our community. No matter what part of the bay area you live in, there should be at least a few connection groups nearby. Look for a group today and you just may find a friend for life.
The goal of community groups is to show love to our community, and it's an area where Relevant really shines. Because of the love Christ has shown us, we believe it is our joy and privilege to show love to our surrounding community, and to the world. We take part in many different local projects, and also send teams around the country and even the world. Our only agenda is to make others feel loved. Join us the second Saturday of every month for a local service project. Or, jump in to our mentor team serving at two local schools. If you have national or global missions in mind, we usually take at least two trips per year in the States and abroad.
