Where and when is Camp?

Camp is located at Camp Anderson Anchored.

Address: 536 NE 168th Ave, Old Town , FL 32680 Roughly a 2.5 hour drive from church.

Dates are from July 22th-26th.

Is transportation include?

Yes, we are providing a charter to and from camp.

 

Is Technology Permitted?

We will be having an electronic free camp except for 1 hour every evening to allow students to keep their snap streaks going. The camp is also NOT responsible for lost or stolen items.

What are the requirements for my student to attend?
  1. Pay in full camp cost.
  2. Complete and sign camp release forms.
  3. Must currently be in 6th-12 grade.
What does my kid need?

Below is the packing list for camp.

  • Change of clothes for 4 days (make sure you have extra shirts and shorts you will sweat)
  • Pajamas
  • Bathing suit (one piece for females)
  • Beach shoes
  • Beach towel
  • Shower towel
  • Sheets, pillow, and blanket for bedding
  • All necessary Toiletries
  • Any medication is applicable
  • Sunscreen lotion
  • Bible
  • Notebook & pen
  • Money for Snacks during week $40
  • Money for lunch there and back $20
    • (fast food stop on the way there and fast food stop on the way back)
What is the drop-off and pickup times.

The drop-off time for Monday July 22th is 10:00AM at church

The Pickup time for Friday, July 26th is 2:00PM at the church.

 

What should my student expect at camp?

Some of their activities include:  Archery, Pellet Rifle, Laser Tag, Canoeing, Swimming at Fanning Springs, the Blob, Fishing, Dance, Basketball, Sand volleyball, Gaga pit, Swimming in the pool and Zorb ball soccer.

 

 

What are the Camp Rule?

Rules For SOMA 2024

  1. No Purpling (PDA)Any unwarranted physical contact with another student
  2. No male or females in each other’s cabin
  3. No students in cabin without a leaders
  4. No Drugs & Alcohol ( you will be sent home if you are caught with this.)
  5. No Foul Language
  6. No Bullying
  7. Camp will be electronic free except for 1 hour each evening to call home and to keep Snap Streaks.
  8. Respect to all Leaders regardless of church affiliation.

Breaking rules 1-3 will result in parents being asked to come and get your student.

Dress Code

  1. Clothing: All clothing shall be neat, clean. Shorts, t-shirts, and sneakers are appropriate for most activities
  2. Articles of clothing which display profanity, tobacco, alcohol, drugs, sex, gang symbols or affiliation is prohibited.
  3. Items of clothing which expose bare midriffs, bare cheeks, bare chests, undergarments, extremely tight clothing or that are transparent are prohibited. Tank tops with straps wider than one inch are permitted. Please be advised that spaghetti straps, halter tops, and tube tops are prohibited.
  4. Swimming (For all water recreation):

– Swimsuits for men: swim trunks only

– Swimsuits for women: One-piece swimsuits required (no two piece swimsuits are allowed)

  1. Dress code for Night sessions (shorts and t-shirts are acceptable for night sessions)
  2. Camp staff reserves the right to have students change if clothing is found inappropriate.
